Free Webinars for Mediators and Parenting Coordinators
The Dispute Resolution Center has compiled lists of complimentary educational webinars for certified mediators Free CME Guide and qualified parenting coordinators Free CPCE Guide. These lists provide resources sufficient to fulfill both mediator and parenting coordinator continuing education requirements. In addition, some of the offerings have been approved by The Florida Bar for CLE credits. Reporting forms for mediators can be found at CME Reporting Form and for parenting coordinators at CPCE Reporting Form. Questions regarding continuing education requirements can be directed to drcmail@flcourts.gov.
2023 Dispute Resolution Center Conference
The DRC held its 31st annual conference virtually on Friday, August 4, 2023. The conference is eligible for the following educational credits:
CME for Certified Mediators: The conference is eligible for 6.3 hours including 1.2 hours of mediator ethics.
CPCE for Qualified Parenting Coordinators: The conference is eligible for 6.3 hours including 1.2 hours of mediator ethics.
CLE for Florida Attorneys: The Florida Bar has approved the conference for 6.5 hours including 4.0 legal ethics, course number 2304950N.

2023 Dispute Resolution Center Awards
On Friday, August 4, 2023, the Dispute Resolution Center hosted its 31st Annual Conference virtually, including conferring its annual awards. We congratulate the following recipients:
Robin K. Davis received the Sharon Press Excellence in ADR Award for her visionary leadership, professional integrity, and unwavering devotion to the field of alternative dispute resolution.
Danni D. Hoefling received the DRC Award of Appreciation for her long standing work in alternative resolution with the courts and for her service to the Mediator Ethics Advisory Committee and Committee on ADR Rules and Policy.
The Honorable Angelica D. Zayas received the DRC Award of Appreciation for her service and contributions to the Mediator Qualification Discipline & Review Board and the Mediation Training Review Board.
Rules Admendments
The Florida Supreme Court has issued its opinion in case number SC2022-1704, In Re Amendments to the Rules for Qualified and Court-Appointed Parenting Coordinators. The amendments to Part II, Standards, are effective on October 1, 2023. You may access the court’s online docket for this case, including the opinion, at the following link: SC2022-1704.
Chief Justice Muñiz has extended the deadlines for provisions related to certain uses of communication technologies in ADR practice. See In Re: Continuing Use of Communication Technologies for Certain Alternative Dispute Resolution Purposes, Fla. Admin. Order AOSC22-108 (December 19, 2022)

Operating Procedures.
Pursuant to rule 10.140, Rules for Certified and Court-Appointed Mediators, Operating Procedures and Authority, the Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution Rules and Policy (ADRR&P) adopted. These Operating Procedures are effective November 1, 2021 and supersede any conflicting provisions In re: Procedures Governing Certification of Mediators, Fla. Admin. Order No. AOSC19-26 (May 28, 2019). The Operating Procedures contain numerous revisions to the certification and renewal processes. Questions can be directed to DRCmail@flcourts.gov
